ANCHISE

ANCHISE: Applying New solutions for Cultural Heritage protection by Innovative, Scientific, social and economic Engagement

DURATION: 2023 - 2026

PROGRAMME: Horizon Europe

Aim: ANCHISE aims to build a global and comprehensive answer to meet the challenges of effective protection of cultural heritage in Europe, for both antiquities and modern cultural goods, in order to provide sustainable and replicable solutions. Its assumption is that addressing this topic implies a bottom-up process, which will build a global and
comprehensive approach at every stage of the analysis.

ANCHISE is the result of bringing together some of the most important research activities at European level in the last years, both on technologies for the fight against illicit trafficking, and humanities to improve the knowledge base on trafficking of cultural artefacts.

Coordinated by the French School of Athens (Ecole Française d’Athènes), the ANCHISE consortium is a strong partnership of 15 European partners: leading companies, universities and research centers with strong connections to the fields of investigation, cultural organizations and law enforcement agencies, coordinated around the same cause of the fight against illicit trafficking of cultural heritage.
